AVI DAGAN ARCHITECT

UNIVERSITY OF PORT ELIZABETH (M.ARCH)

Founder and Principal – Avi Dagan Architecture & Urban Design

I hold a Master of Architecture (M.Arch) degree and graduated ( with distinction | cum laude) from the prestigious Faculty of Architecture at Port Elizabeth University.
Since 2012, I have led my architecture and urban planning practice, based in Haifa, Israel, specializing in private residences, luxury villas, public buildings, and urban-scale projects.

What distinguishes our practice is the ability to identify the one key intervention in every project — the design move that addresses all challenges with clarity and purpose. This leads to timeless concepts that are not dictated by trends, fashion, or budget constraints.

My vision is that each architectural creation we deliver carries an international sensibility, yet is deeply rooted in local context, tradition, and warmth — much like the timeless buildings we love to visit around the world.

Over the years, my passion for the profession, combined with curiosity, continuous learning, and deep observation, has equipped me with the tools and knowledge to lead complex projects with unique architectural character. From custom details to thoughtful material selection, I strive to ensure that each project is truly one of a kind.

Local nature, traditional architecture, and a constant drive for innovation serve as my core inspirations. Alongside a desire to create architecture free of stylistic clichés, I always seek the delicate balance between clean structural form and the emotional warmth that defines beloved traditional architecture — spaces that feel both grounded and enduring.

ERIK GROBLER ARCHITECT

UNIVERSITY OF PORT ELIZABETH (M.ARCH)

Founder and Principal – Erik Grobler Architecture & Urban Design

Graduated with a Master’s Degree in Architecture & Urban Environment Design from the prestigious University of Port Elizabeth, South Africa.

As an architect who grew up in one of South Africa’s most unique and culturally rich regions, I believe that architecture should be a natural extension of the people, culture, and landscape that inhabit and surround a place. True architecture, to me, is about place-making — creating spaces that belong.

My approach seeks to blend tradition with innovation, simplicity with depth, and to always respond sensitively to the local context. Each project is an opportunity to reflect the character and story of its environment, while aspiring to architectural excellence that transcends trends and time.

OUR VISION

As architects shaped by two distinct and vibrant cultures — Israel and South Africa — we bring together perspectives rooted in contrast, richness, and diversity. Our vision is to establish an international architectural practice that transcends borders, blending deep local sensitivity with a global design language.

We believe that exceptional architecture emerges from the meeting point of place, people, and purpose. Whether working in the Middle East, Africa, or beyond, we strive to craft spaces that are timeless yet contemporary, grounded yet visionary — spaces that speak to the human spirit while honoring the land they rise from.

Together, we are building a studio that celebrates cultural identity, natural context, and design excellence — one project at a time.
